Meriton Suites Adelaide Street, Brisbane

WOW they had great service at reception, the check in and out was a breeze. The lady even remembered we spoke on the phone the day before and let me know everything she had arranged based on our conversation, they took extra special care of us. It really is at a great location, there is an awesome cafe (Sip! Sip! Coffee.co) right next door for a fab brekky and coffee. Also there is a foodworks right on the corner, how perfect. Felons brewery and so many places for a great dinner are right down the hill. We had a great view from the suite, every window met us with a gorgeous view, day and night it was spectacular to see the iconic story bridge, then pan across all the way to southbank, then to suncorp stadium and the XXXX factory off in the distance, we had what felt like the best view in Brisbane. Each room had huge very comfy beds, giant very comfy pillows and we loved the shampoo and conditioner brand they went with, it felt lux. Everything we needed was right there in the room. The team were so polite and went above and beyond to cater to special requests. I'm 100% choosing this location for any stay in Brisbane going forward, in fact we are already planning our next visit already and we only checked out today! I love the chromecast set up for easy entertainment, especially on a VERY RAINY weekend. I called ahead and they were happy to answer any and every question, they were super accomodating. The suite looked very modern, and clean. There was a laundry conviniently in the room with everything you needed. They thought of the little things like milk in the fridge, sugar and coffee pods with a machine in the kitchen ready to go. Anything you needed was there and was always found in a common sense place so it really felt like home for our stay. Gift store selections were a fun touch, we bought the lovely room scent as that lobby smelled incredible and was always spotless.

The 5 min parking/drop off area for only 2 cars at a time without a pedestrian path for accessibility is sketchy but the footprint of the building can only cater for so much space, it's not worth a markdown, but is noteworthy if you have kids or accessibility needs. Personally I found $5 for a bag of ice a bit steep, however, I can appreciate that it's delivered to your room with a smile and it was consumable. I appreciated the option and service regardless! For the convenience I can understand the price that was set, it just caught me by surprise. An ice machine with a complimentary bucket of ice upon request to cut down on plastic would be a step above the rest, particularly given the price spent per night for a 3 bedroom suite. STILL it's anything worth marking down a star though! Strangely most lifts and our hallway off the lifts (Level 67) did not run the air conditioner. They were veryyyyy humid and hot. We were never in there for more than a couple of minutes each time but it was uncomfortable. It was always a pleasant surprise if we got a lift with aircon and that led us to think it was not meant to be that way (perhaps a maintenance issue). We didn't provide feedback in person as we all forgot about it every time we entered into the lovely airconditioned lobby. It was so beautiful and the service was so great so this tiny inconvenience instantly left our minds in that atmosphere.

Very friendly staff, good rate, good location. The one-bedroom suite is spacious, especially the massive closet. All appliances are good to use.

There was toilet paper wrapper left in the bathroom when we checked in. The bathroom is quite rundown on the wall and the ceiling, you can hear other bathrooms when they're being used. The bed also wasn't made properly.
