Fantastic location – right in the middle of Corso Umberto, within walking distance of almost everything.
* Amazing staff – incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming.
* Balcony with sea view – a big plus and a lovely feature of the room.
* Free beach access – excellent shuttle bus service to Hotel Caparena, with complimentary access to the beach, sun loungers and parasol.
* Lovely rooftop terrace – used for breakfast during the summer months.
* Beautiful reception and entrance area.
* Early departure breakfast box – although the food was disappointing, I appreciated the bottle of water and the apple.
Very small room – limited space, especially for a longer stay.
* Small bathroom and shower – the shower was particularly cramped.
* Tiny safe – only enough room for a passport and a few small items, with no space for a laptop.
* Small TV.
* Outdated rooms and bathrooms – they no longer meet modern hotel standards.
* Poor sound insulation – noise from neighbouring rooms was easily heard.
* Basic breakfast – acceptable, but nothing special. Outside the summer season, breakfast is served on the lower floor rather than on the rooftop terrace.
* Traditional room keys – the hotel uses physical keys rather than key cards.

Fabulous location in the heart of Taormina. We had a room with a balcony and views of the sea and the Greek theatre. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding.
Our room was small, but adequate. The bathroom was very small and dated, and space within the shower was pretty tight. Without remodelling, there’s not much that can be done about it but beware!

Receptionist was bluntly factual - absolutely no niceties (we didn’t feel very ‘special’ as guests; couldn’t open and therefore use the safe in the room.
