The room we had was attractive and cosy, and the curtains and blinds definitely kept any light out.
The bathroom was spacious and warm.
You could drive your car up towards where you were sleeping so you didn't have far to carry your bags.
The outdoor areas looked nice and in the summer would be a great addition, there is also a little play area for children next to the overnight rooms which is good.
There were a couple of issues -
On entering the main pub area there was a strong unpleasant smell which we would compare to a damp mop smell or drainage smell.
In our own room there was water damage over the door with peeling, flaking paint which did not look attractive.
The tiled floor in the bathroom had several cracks in it and in one area had slightly raised, so was a trip/cut foot hazard. The bathroom taps had not been cleaned properly around the lever.
The area for brewing up is very compact as it is on the dressing table along with a lamp, radio, mirror and cups tray, when placing a boiling kettle in amongst everything there's hardly any room to actually make the brews.
There was a problem with our TV it only played bbc channels and then it was not staying tuned in but as we were only staying one night and it was late we weren't affected.
Overall it was good value for money with a couple of fixable problems.

Not much. Railway track on back of building so be aware it's noisy
The wait at breakfast was ridiculous. An hour Atleast just to get a cooked breakfast. Would not stay again
