The location of the hotel was fabulous and a bonus for visitors who stay at a hotel in Bern--free transport in areas 100/101, so we got to enjoy that when our feet were too tired to walk much more. Breakfast was simple but delicious and charged us with the energy we needed for a big day ahead. The rooms were clean and beautiful in such an old and special building. The hotel is in a great location... public transport is so readily accessible!
The elevator was broken, which was OK for us, but for some with physical challenges, it would have been important to know before arrival.

Excellent location, all the main attractions are within walking distance and the train station is a few minutes walk away. Good sized rooms. Comfortable beds/ pillows. Great value for money. My sister and I booked two rooms here and we both enjoyed our stay. The lady at the reception desk was very friendly.
A minor point, only a couple of English channels (news). A bit more variety would be good.

the location was great.
In booking it was stated that there was parking available. This was not really accurate. Are two options was to park in a parking garage (very expensive) or in a residential street in a specific area (very hard to find and a solid 20 min. walk from hotel). The bathroom was very small.
