Very pleasant stay for what we needed great place rooms. We didn’t explore the restaurant or anything.

When we arrived there was a small problem with room(TV not working) and it was a bit dark, called the Cottage it was across road from main hotel
Spoke to Sam on reception, she was very friendly and helpful and arranged a different room straight away for us.
We had a lovely meal in restaurant
Weather was awful(not hotels fault) but will definitely revisit in spring/ sunmer, lots of walks and lovely surroundings
Thought drinks where bit pricy, Guinness and house wine £16.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff in the bar were very friendly and the food served in the bar was fine.
We booked two rooms and both key cards did not work - so we both had to walk back to reception to get the cards re-programmed. Since both our rooms were in the far reaches of the hotel it did rather spoil our stay.
My room was in the house near the car park, The staircase up to the room was steep and narrow. I am not sure I could have made it with a large suitcase. The lighting in the room was provided by 2 rows of tiny LEDs which were impossible to read by. The bathroom was huge and the shower was excellent.
