Hopping Hare

This was a one night stay but impressed us in all the aspects we experienced. The room was well equipped and the en-suite to a high standard. Breakfast was superb and parking was easy. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Whilst not a problem for us the stairs to the bedrooms might prove troublesome for large or heavy luggage.

High standard of decor and cleanliness. Very good breakfast.

Nothing

Nice room. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff.

The location for me was good as I was attending a funeral and this was best placed.

I didn't like my check-out. Apart from breakfast which was included in my room rate, I didn't eat at the Hopping Hare as arrangements for food had already been made. However, on checking out, I was advised I owed £44something for food from the previous night. I was absolutely gobsmacked. The lady asked me if I'd had the food, and after I'd confirmed I hadn't, she then said she'd look into what had happened. No apology. Not even from the guy who was stood next to her (who I assume was the owner?). I was made to feel like a criminal - like I'd eaten the food but was trying to get away with not paying. I was not happy at all and am still not. So please be very, very careful if you decide to stay here, you may end up with a bill that isn't yours/charged for something you never had. I wouldn't stay again.
