The spa service was absolutely amazing, and the room service food was excellent—both deserve five stars. Breakfast was also good. The food and spa treatments were the highlights of my stay.
The cleanliness and maintenance were far below what I expected from a five-star hotel. My suite had extremely dirty carpets and a persistent damp smell. Another room I was shown on the fifth floor had the same issues, so I remained in the original room.
After I complained, the housekeeping manager arranged for the carpet to be cleaned, but this should have been done before guests checked in. The spa flooring also needed attention.
The payment arrangements were inconvenient: full payment was required at check-in, card pre-authorisation was declined, and food and spa services had to be paid for in advance. Overall, the hotel needs a full refurbishment and significant improvements in housekeeping.
