Absolutely stunning reception in the chapel. Palace timeworn but still impressive. Garden and grounds beautiful. Lovely terrace with views over Faro and down to the sea where you can watch the stunning sunsets. Staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast hearty with great selections from breads, fruits to hot food. Walking around the old town of Estoi and through the gardens is well worth doing. Rooms very modern in contrast with the entrance but still very comfortable with balcony to sit and listen to nature and catch the sun. Long walk to our room. Also dog friendly. Lovely pool area and spa which was quiet and peaceful.

Room was good, staff very helpful, breakfast great. Location a little out of way but supper at facility was godd and reasonable.

The building is impressive. Very well maintained. Beautiful gardens and surroundings. The pool is nice in a very relaxed atmosphere (water a bit cold).

The large sitting areas, the spa area and the history of the building. The toasty sandwich and chips were great value as a snack. The soundproof bedrooms. Loved the robes and towels and the espresso coffee machine in rooms.
I would have liked a mat on my bedroom floor which was cold. I found the bedroom very dowdy and old fashioned. Too much dark wood, floor walls and wardrobes. Did not find the wardrobe door handles easy to use.
