Mantra Parramatta

Great place to stay and so clean and roomy. So close to shopping and transport

The price was very good for a spa suite. The suite was very spacious, location suited us in Chinatown, 2 minutes to Westfield, 5 minutes to the lanes ,CBD, restaurants , parks and river 10-12 minutes. Football stadium 20 mins but has light rail to all of these. Train station across the road. We booked another night and will return. Parramatta beats the run down Sydney CBD by miles. The pool and hot tub looked well maintained. It was in view of all the balcony suites which can be good or bad depending on the individual. The parks nearby are fantastic. Best value we could find. The hotel has its own parking.

There was nothing really bad. Minor things. No spa oils/bubbles, no toilet brush, noise from street traffic and trains. (Can ask back rooms). No night staff after 9. There is nothing obviously wrong here. We will return.

Comfortable stay. Was clean and had everything I needed.

Very comfortable and spacious room, good breakfast although a little on the expensive side.

I had to travel to Sydney suddenly as my dad had a heart attack. I wasn’t sure how long I was going to stay so booked two nights which was roughly $379. On the day that I found out he was not going to make it I went to the reception to book another night. The receptionist told me that another night was going to be $430 something. I asked why one night was more than the two nights I had already booked and she said that it was because there was a NRL game on. I shared with her that I wasn’t there for an NRL game and that my father was going to die today. She just shrugged and said sorry for your loss but there’s nothing I can do. I told her I’d stay somewhere else and left. Later when I came back after my father had passed away I went up to my room exhausted ready to lie down, and my key didn’t work. I went back down to ask why and get it sorted. Upon meeting another different person they asked how my day had been. I shared with them the events of the day and they didn’t offer any sympathy just a dry sorry for your loss. There was no free breakfast added in or anything that could have made me feel a bit more comforted and supported while I was in another country with no family and having just experienced such a traumatic event. I wouldn’t choose to stay there again. Also might I add I went and stayed at the Novotel which is much closer to the stadium and they weren’t price gouging.
