The island of Skepsholmen is like a leafy green ship nestled within Stockholm’s beautifully convoluted historic harbour; a perfectly unusual setting for a hotel, and a setting that Hotel Skepsholmen fully lives up to. Its configuration, two separate very long, very old and beautifully renovated barrack buildings placed end to end, is equally unusual. Staff are friendly and helpful, the dining area beautifully appointed, the breakfast bountiful and coming back to the hotel for dinner hard to resist. Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else should we return to Stockholm.
Not enough rooms with tubs. They did manage to move us to a room with one for our last three nights, but we were lucky.

Setting, comfort, accessibility for city and transport: bus and ferry. Food excellent particularly breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly
Nothing in particular. Because of its history as a barracks it has long corridors!

Great location, wonderful comfortable hotel. The stuff was excellent: very helpful, took time to answer questions. Josephine at the front desk was great and went above and beyond to help us have best experience in Stockholm.
Would have been nice to have a sauna
