Convenient location for us on route to Glasgow. Food in bar was hearty and good value. Slept well, quiet location. Supermarket opposite was very convenient.

The rooms whilst not overly large they had enough space for our needs. The hotel has a restaurant which was convenient and it offered reasonable meals. We were told that some items were fresh but it was apparent that they were frozen items.
The hotel seemed to operate on a very limited staff who were multitasking.
There was no choice given as to cooked breakfast. It would have been nice to have more options. Generally the breakfast used poor quality products and some. Items such as the haggis was overcooked. This resulted in wasting food.

Easy access from the motorway if you are travelling.
Room and bed were comfy, shower had been refurbed and was nice.
Room facilities were ok.
Booking. Com stated parking on site, it’s not, you need to find space in local car park - more a booking.com issue but should be made clear on there.
The room description stated there was a bath, there wasn’t; after a week of hiking it was a request and I chose that room because it said it included a bath!
Breakfast was not great, only hot food was full cooked or toast, I had two hairs in mine! Could also hear the chef coughing when ‘prepping’ which is really off putting.
