Location was amazing - right on the high street and as it was pouring with rain our whole visit that was super handy! It was a beautiful hotel, the staff were amazing, the rooms delightful and the breakfast is one of the best we’ve had in ages.
The rain - would have loved it to be nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the garden!

Short stay, Location good, attentive staff who were very helpful. We enjoyed the period features of the hotel. Very good breakfast.
Our bedroom was cold, Room100, with two outside walls a large window and over an arch. A member of staff did try to help with the heating control but it did not result in heat, he did offer a heater which we did not access. The bathroom was small resulting in having to climb into the bath through a narrow space to access the shower. We had one meal in the dining and felt the food and drinks were overpriced.

Staff were vey good polite and helpfull. Breakfast are help yourself which is O.K, and as much as you like. Evening meals were O.K but nothing to write home about. Both the breakfast and dining rooms were well apointed and well set out .
We stayed at the hotel 13 years ago and nothing has changed. "Shabby chique" without the chique. We asked for a snug room and Boy was it snug! Window at high level no view to outside except if you like looking at a roof . .
