Historic hotel on a large piece of property about 15 minutes outside of Siena. Rooms are quite large, and the breakfast is very similar to other hotels in Italy. The staff were wonderful!
While the property probably used to be a very special place, the owner has not kept it up. It was a little sad to see what must have once been a lovely hotel fall into disrepair. Also, bear in mind that the hotel is about a ten to fifteen minute drive from Siena, and walking to Siena from the hotel is not a good idea! If you don't want to drive in and search for parking, the bus schedule is quite limited, ends fairly early at night, and does not run on Sundays. We waited at the bus stop in Siena for the last bus of the night, and it drove right past us! It took us almost an hour to find a taxi to take us back to the hotel.

Relaxing stay with easy access to Siena by bus (or walk) with opportunity to cool off by the pool. Great sunset from the upper terrace. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Delightful grounds and views
Restaurant closed on Sunday, but very restrictive on own drinks/food.
Not providing a corkscrew seemed petty! Staff looked a bit miserable
