I liked the staff modern clean facilities breakfast and location where you can walk to the lake and old quarter market
I didn't like there policy of not changing the bed sheets evry day for 3 days unless you ask

Location, attention to detail, food, staff.
I want to give shout out to Nghia at the reception for being the best staff experience we had in the whole trip in Vietnam.
It was hard to communicate with some of the staff in English. The biggest miss was our server in the Le Beau restaurant. We booked the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing and we could understand the explanations of the courses.

This hotel is a glorious time capsule, but in no way feels stuffy or oppressive. The Heritage Wing, which has been recently renovated, is absolutely worth the additional cost. It made visiting a bustling city like Hanoi a dream.
I loved it all.
