Stunning view, comfortable bed, clean, super powerful hot shower and friendly staff - close to central shops and tourist attractions
Parking can be a challenge if you don't get one on the main road (first in best dressed) - is steep and narrow drive down to bottom car parks. Unit we had did not have a kitchen sink / tap and fridge was small. Struggled with TV and casting - but that could be us

The view of the lake from the room was spectacular. The hostess provided a map with many trail locations and was very friendly. The room was beautifully decorated

If this property's rating was soley based on the location and view, the score would be a 10, but this is not all that comprises an accommodation experience. The room was clean and the bed reasonably comfortable. The young person who assisted us with our check in was very friendly. Parking is available on site, so we recommend you try to walk to most places in the town centre and leave your car parked at the lodge as parking fees in Queenstown are a bit expensive
The property is very tired, and we feel the lake view room did not measure up to the price charge. The bathroom had chipped paint on the ceiling, the toilet had a cracked seat and did not flush properly. the shower taps and water pressure were poor and the freezer compartment for the small fridge in our room was frozen solid with ice, it took many attempts to open the door. The property would benefit from some minor renovations to keep it competitive in the accommodation market for queenstown.
