Large split level room with ample room to keep dog downstairs in comfort.
Beds were comfy and there was plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was freshly prepared and very good.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
The location in Masham is excellent with ample cheap parking right outside.
The cleanliness of the room was a bit hit and miss. Bathroom and bedroom were clean but an area between the stairs and the window was thick with dust and spiders nests (a real horror show). Weeds were growing inside on the door matt. Linens were clean. Floors and stairs were really creaky so liable to wake the other person when getting up in the night. Having to go downstairs to the bathroom would not be ideal for some elderly or mobility impaired guests.

Location is perfect dead centre of the town with ample parking just outside the hotel.
Building internally needs some TLC. Where walls are marked and windows rattle. I guess it’s to be expected with the age of the building however dead wasps and cob webs on the window frames could be cleaned off surely. Staff however are pleasant but lack the basics when it comes to service. We were told on the Friday that they had run out of clean glasses so was served gin in a Cider glass. On the following day they had no ice which is pretty basic for a pub to ensure they have adequate supplies of both.
