Room smelt musty and damp

Room was not too hot and had individually controlled heating so we could set temperature ourselves. We enjoyed dinner in the Moldy Fig restaurant. Easy access from the motorway.
The decor of the room was tired and should have been better for the price.

An absolute last minute booking. Stood outside and noticed the hotel and booked it there and then.
Nothing remarkable. A clean, quiet room with a great mattress. Really good nights sleep.
Breakfast was exceptional though. Not fancy or anything but just right. Immediate staff attention, hot drink followed by order. No fuss. A well laid out buffet table with everything you could want - fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastry, cereals and the eponymous toast conveyor - what could be better? They had a good English on the menu that I could see others tucking into but they had smoked haddock and poached egg. Couldn't miss that. I feared a huge slab of overcooked yellow fish. Instead a nice modest portion of lightly smoked, firm haddock with two perfect poached eggs.
In and out, well rested, well fed and no fuss.

The location is very handy for the Concorde Club.
The room had everything you needed it in.
We found the bed very uncomfortable, it needs a mattress topper on it, as the mattress was lumpy and hard.
