I almost forgot to rate our holiday. Thank you for the nice touch of the welcome drink in our room for my partner's birthday, she liked it so much. We had a wonderful time. I don't know what do other people think about the lack of cleaning, but we haven't found anything to complain, we had a nice cleaning lady on the floor on duty, if needed.
I think the little difference in price worth to choose the category of having a balcony facing to the beach. If you alread pay a high price, it wouldn't make difference.
Would come back maybe in the future again.
Dubrovnik is the most expensive city(I have been almost all cities so far in Croatia) I have ever been, but you can find places with a little research ouf eating/drinking out. Choose the barbecue night, if you would like to have a complete taste of dinner here(happened twice a week during summer).
People made tons of reqiews here avout the sunbed set is expensive as well, however after opening the renting shop on the beach, all the beds were sold for the day in an hour( since the lack of shadows and easy beach). Water was very nice to swim in.
Please do something with the coffee. I think a change of trademark or something would make you higher reviews! :)

Hotel Vis is on a well established location, it may be a little older but the staff does a great job of maintaining the property and tending to their guests.

We loved the location which was coastal and there was a beach for swimming. The room was a good size and clean. We also had a small deck which looked out towards the water.
A buffet breakfast was included in the price which was substanial and catered to all needs. There is a cafe for lunch and snacks along with drinks during the day. The bus stops right outside the hotel and goes into Dubrovnik Old Town which was very reasonable and easy to also return on. There are other restaurants in the area which we ate at as the hotel only offered buffet in the evening. We had booked a rental car and were able to pick this up at the hotel as the rental company had an office in the reception area.
There is no lift from the reception to our room on the second floor.
