The Phoenicia is situated along the ramparts of Valletta, close to the main entrance to the city. It is marvellous traditional palace with magnificent gardens leading down to a swimming pool overlooking Marsamxett Harbour. A traditional palace, with all the contemporary facilities, including a state of the art spa, a conference and meetings centre, two restaurants, a very cosy bar and a generous lobby. It is welcoming and elegant, on a par with the magnificence of the city’s monuments and in stark contrast to its sometimes overly intrusive tourism.

The service was impeccable and the hotel so absolutely beautiful.

Breakfast excellent
Interior decoration is not up to the standard of the building. It looks old and does not seem to have received much attention.
