I did not expect the hotel to be a a passenger transit location, inside the hotel premises. As for the breakfast, I expected more.

Location next to airport, pool, breakfast, clean, tidy and safe.
Marwa the cleaner was exceptional and left my room sparkling and bottles of water each day were provided.
The doors to each room need to be soundproofed, and signs put up for clients to be quiet and mindful of other guests - especially at an airport hotel where people are coming and going at all hours.

I always stay at Novotel Cairo Airport, and every time everything exceeds expectations. This time, I would especially like to praise the open buffet dinner. Top class and selection, just like in a luxury restaurant. Huge variety and extremely delicious. Highly recommended!
People queuing at the reception and bypassing the line... I really don't like this

The property is very conveniently located close to the airport, just a few minutes drive off. The room-service food was also good and reasonably priced.
The property is quite old and in some need of maintenance, there were a lot of damages that could be a quick fix in our room (paintings hanging off one screw, curtains falling off the railing, damaged light fixtures). Maintenance aside as older buildings it's to be expected, however, the cleanliness was really bad. The room was dirty, the sheets and towels as well, and the bathroom had an overpowering drainage smell. The worst experience however, was there was a wedding being hosted right outside our room, we were not informed of this during check-in and there was loud music being played until 23:00 and I contacted Reception twice to request a room change, but they didn't even call us back to let us know that it wasn't possible, overall the service we received here was very underwhelming.
