We had an incredible stay! Our room was beautiful and the private bath on the balcony was lovely. The toiletries provided were also of good quality. Some of the negative reviews noted it’s a long walk between facilities - we did not find this to be as much of an issue as people made it out to be. It is only a 15 minute walk across the whole property, and there is a shuttle bus that runs regularly, both across the property and to the train station.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate our dinner arrangements despite our late arrival. Their preparation, flexibility, and warm hospitality were truly appreciated. Great food too.

The balcony and onsen was amazing
The room felt quite dated and well used. It was quite rough around the edges with lots of marks on the walls, dirty/old bathroom and sinks.
We knew when we booked this location that it’s hard to get to and from anywhere. The shuttle bus is every hour but you can get a taxi for around £20-£30 for a half an hour ride. The resort was also dated, I think we stayed in one of the newest buildings which wasn’t great.
Amenities aren’t free which is fine but you will have to walk uphill to the other reception building to get something.
They also need to be clearer with where the reception for check in is as the first time on the bus was a little stressful with suitcases not knowing where to get off.
