We came to taste wines in the area so the location was perfect. We were able to check in early and then the front desk arranged a taxi. The breakfast was excellent. Also having parking included was great.
Being asked to pay for a hand made coffee at breakfast.

Incredibly welcoming place. Friendly staff. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was exceptional - a huge variety of food to choose from. The wine cellar was a great touch too. The spa is a huge bonus too. Really enjoyed the big jacuzzi.
This isn't the hotel's fault, but we had some noisy neighbours who were playing loud music and partying late night. The night stafmember was understanding when I spoke and everything was resolved amicably.

What's not to like about staying in a castle with lovely efficient people looking after the whole experience? Touring the castle and seeing the older part and their glass collection with the loveliest guide was wonderful
It's a shame the place is so over 'Marriotised' I thought.
