Desert Hills Lodge

Incredible views, great meals and staff. Very large rooms.

Location was great and the family room was great for us as we had our 2 kids traveling with us. They are 11 and 13

The dining area can do we an upgrade and aircon

Excellent food and beautiful views. Room was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The accommodation is beautifully located, and both the breakfast and dinner are very good. Festus is the only person that is very service-oriented and friendly.

Unfortunately, the service is very poor, and the staff’s attitude is largely unmotivated, bordering on rude. The above-average price level is absolutely not reflected in the quality of service provided: the room was not clean, the bed sheets had tears and stains, and the towels were dirty. Despite asking three times for the room to be cleaned again and for these issues to be addressed, nothing was done. The staff even smiled dismissively at our final (resigned) complaint. Broken glass by the pool was also reported but remained there throughout the day without being removed. Instead, the employees appeared to spend their time relaxing together in the shade, which reflected their attitude toward their work. Poor treatment of guests, combined with this level of disrespect, is unacceptable—especially considering the prices being charged. Additional areas for improvement: There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, the cushions on the outdoor seating furniture were dirty, and the pool was not clean.
