About this house rental

Four seasons in an authentic setting! The wonderful secluded location at an elevation of 650 meters blends harmoniously into the surrounding forest landscape. Enjoy the sweeping views of the Bavarian Forest’s rolling hills and mountains from our sunny southeast-facing slope. Are you looking for a cozy and peaceful base for your stay in the Bavarian Forest? You’ll find all this at our vacation home “Giglberg,” a 300-year-old, historic, former gamekeeper’s house that we lovingly and carefully renovated in 1995 with an emphasis on sustainability. Renovated on the large grounds (10 ha) of a 16th-century Upper Palatinate country estate, this vacation home offers you the authenticity and genuineness of an unadulterated historical atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy. In designing the interior, we strove for authenticity and originality—that is, timeless elegance combined with rustic furniture from a bygone era.

Wir waren im August 2008 für eine Woche in dem wunderschönen Haus am Giglberg und schwärmen noch heute von dieser schönen Unterkunft. Auch unsere Kinder haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt und mit unserem Hund konnten wir auf den zum Haus gehörenden Wiesen herumtollen. Unsere sehr netten Vermieter Inge und Gerhard haben sich um alles gekümmert, damit wir einen traumhaften Urlaub verbringen konnten. Der Giglberg ist ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage und luxeriöser Ausstattung. Unsere Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen.
