The location was superb. Right in the middle of everything plus easy access to Fondamente Nove ferries was a nice surprise. Kitchen was nicely outfitted for a long visit. (Maybe add one more big stir spoon - like a wooden spoon?) Be sure to try to become a regular at the wonderful spot called Cibo & Vino in the square. So delicious. Other great restaurants very near!
Before arriving, I was a bit worried about the loft situation but since there is a bathroom upstairs it worked out fine. The stairs are not difficult unless you have some serious mobility issues. I had one small issue w water but the technician was quickly called and the matter addressed.

This large apartment was great! Getting to the upstairs loft after a long day of sightseeing and walking was a bit of a challenge for an older gal, but that's a critique of my ability not the apartment. The owner met us weary travelers out in the nearest square, and if you know Venice at all, you'll know that walking down narrow alleys is definitely something you'll experience. It was nice for first-timers not to have to do that alone. She walked us up to the gate, showed us how everything worked, and later responded very promptly to a question about getting onto the wifi. I was impressed.
Location was nice, but farther from the canal 'bus stop' than I thought. Still, totally worth it for a great place to stay.
