Perfect summer and mid-season retreat on the beautiful island of Giglio, Italy, in the heart of the Mediterranean. Easily accessible from Rome and Florence by train and one-hour ferry ride. This idyllic, Italian-style vintage home accommodates 8 in 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms; it has a kitchen with all appliances, a spacious living room with fireplace, a dining room, portico, outside living area, and it is surrounded by a large garden. Conveniently located near all shopping and amenities in the picturesque Giglio Porto town, with access to beaches and historical sites by foot and public transportation. The property is in an excellent position . Down a small lane from the front line. It is definitely rustic and depending on who is staying you would have to consider the layout. This is reflected in the price. There are two rooms upstairs - you walk through one to get to the other. There is an en-suite at the back and the first room has a sink & wc.Downstairs there are 2 more large rooms but you need to go outside to the shower & toilet which worked fine for our stay. If it is very warm weather (which we had) it is way too hot upstairs with just the ceiling fans. Downstairs is cooler. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Lots of towels and bedding.

Super accessible location. Lovely garden patio with umbrella for shade. Quiet spot even being so close to the port. Beds were comfortable and great to have 3 bathrooms. A great spot for a family or many friends. Dishes needed a good clean before first use and bottom bedrooms a bit musty, but likely because they had been closed up for the winter season. Lots of character to the home and neat, old furniture and decorations. Host very responsive and accommodating.

The apartment is right next to the port, yet with the big garden still has the feeling like you are away from everyone. Having 4 bedrooms was perfect for our stay as 4 adults and 4 kids. We loved the stay!
