We were really happy staying here for the first 2 days of our vacation in Madagascar. We loved the little cabin, which had two bedrooms, one with a huge double bed and one with three single beds - way more than sufficient for our small family - and, best of all, a lovely porch where we spent relaxing hours sharing a beer, chatting, listening to the birds, and watching the sun set and rise. There is a mini-fridge in the room and a tea/coffee station with lots of complimentary bottled water. The included breakfast in the main restaurant is huge and delicious, and when we had an early departure to Mantadia on our first morning they packed up a whole basket of treats for us: bananas, oranges, two different kinds of bread, yogurt, and hard-boiled eggs, which was greatly appreciated. The onsite restaurant is fine for dinner, but I'd recommend going into town sometimes for variety rather than eating there every night. The grounds are huge and there is a swimming pool and playground that seems ideal for families with smaller children.
We were there in the winter and the hot water in the shower was just warm, not hot. Somehow it seemed less hot on our second morning, which was a bit disappointing. Probably we could have asked someone to look into it, but it was honestly fine so we just made do.

We had a pleasant stay at Andasibe Lemurs Lodge. The staff were truly outstanding: friendly, warm, and incredibly welcoming. From the shuttle driver to the restaurant team and the reception staff, everyone made us feel cared for throughout our stay. If we could, we would give the staff a rating of 10 for their kindness and hospitality.
We also appreciated the reasonably priced airport shuttle. The road from Tana can be very chaotic, so having a local driver who knows how to navigate it made our journey much easier and more relaxing. The lodge itself was clean and comfortable, and the meals were tasty, which added to the overall positive experience.
What we didn’t like was that the facilities feel VERY outdated. The rooms had a bit of a strange smell when we arrived and generally felt old. With a little TLC and some modernization, the place could be significantly improved and offer an even better experience. The environment and lodge setting is truly outstanding, so just the facilities need to be improved.
