If you're planning a trip to Kashmir, book Hotel Crescent and stop comparing. It's easily one of the best-value stays in Srinagar: premium quality at an affordable price, and honestly a steal at around ₹2,400 a night.
Location: Right in front of Dal Lake, on a lane full of tourist activity. Guides, bookings, rentals, adventure operators, restaurants and stalls are all within walking distance. I couldn't have asked for a better base in Srinagar.
The host: Sameer Yousuf is the reason this stay stands out. He is professional, warm and knows exactly how to welcome guests. He had a welcome board with my name on it waiting at the airport, arranged a cab straight to Dal Lake, and gave me a complimentary shikara ride that ended right in front of the hotel, where he was already waiting. That was an unforgettable first step in Kashmir.
Check-in and room: Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The room was well designed, spotless and had the ambiance and amenities you'd expect from a 4 to 5 star hotel. The view was my favorite part: Dal Lake in front and a mountain peak right outside the curtains. At this price and this location, the value is unbeatable.
Service and food: Service was top notch, and help was available 24/7, whether late at night or early morning. Breakfast was served in the room and made in the home kitchen. It was fresh, delicious and tasted like home. I still miss it.
Trip planning: Sameer sat with me and planned my Kashmir itinerary in detail, guiding me like a brother. We talked about Kashmir's history, stories and culture, and I left feeling I'd made a real friend in Kashmir.
I didn't want to check out. The location, the ambiance and the warmth of the place made leaving hard.
Verdict: Excellent location, a lake and mountain view, a caring host and great value. Choose Hotel Crescent for your Kashmir trip and you won't regret it. 5/5, highly recommended.

The owner was extremely helpful and supportive throughout our stay. Whatever we needed, he went out of his way to help us, including arranging cabs, boat rides, and even helping us get a SIM card. The hospitality really made our stay special. The breakfast was good, and I highly recommend trying their grilled cheese sandwich! The view of Dal Lake was beautiful. I would also recommend booking a room on an upper floor for a better view.
The only downside is the location, as it can be difficult to find cabs and autos directly from the property. You generally need to walk to the main road to get transportation, or take a shikara ride to one of the ghats. Even our Blinkit delivery person had to walk from the main road to reach the hotel. Also, Dal Lake could have been cleaner in this particular area.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Crescent! We chose the Ivory Suite to stay and it turned out to be a great choice.
The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and offered stunning lake and mountain views. Everything we needed was available — a perfectly functioning AC, Smart TV, reliable network/Wi-Fi, and all the essential facilities for a comfortable stay.
The hospitality was excellent, the property was well maintained, and we genuinely loved our experience here. The views, comfort, and overall atmosphere made our stay in Srinagar even more memorable.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with beautiful views in Srinagar! ❤️🏔️🌊
