Relax and enjoy a picturesque sunset after a fun filled day boating, jet skiing or fishing on the beautiful Ohio River, just 30 minutes from Ohio University in Athens, OH. Lodging for up to 6 people in this completely remodeled and updated log cabin. One King and 2 queen beds. This Ohio River Log Cabin is truly breathtaking and sits on 1.5 waterfront acres across from the historic Blennerhassett Island. Belpre boat ramps located across the river. Located only minutes from downtown Parkersburg and a short 15 minute drive to Marietta, OH for a variety of dining and shopping (Uber, Lyft and DoorDash available in the area). Ferry boat ride just minutes away for transportation to the historic Blennerhassett Island where there are horse drawn carriage rides and bike rentals. Upon entering the cabin, you will immediately notice the large open kitchen with white marble countertops, living space and a large deck overlooking the water with the best views. Externally; private boat dock space available, large 2 tiered deck, gas grill and 2 kayaks available for guests. Features DirectTV Cable, security system, Wi-Fi and 3 TVs.

Our family stayed at the cabin on the river for our summer vacation. We wanted to bring along our boat and needed a cabin with a dock, which was one of the great perks of this place! While the cabin mostly looked like the photos, a few minor changes would greatly improve this space. The entire place could use a deep cleaning, dusting inside and out. The ropes on the deck aren't all in place and could be a fall risk for little ones if left unattended. The couch in the living room was basically unusable for the adults on our trip, there was hardly any support. Pluses would be the A/C works great, the kitchen is well equipped, though an ice maker would be nice, there is laundry on site and plenty of deck space/boat space. Also, if you don't have an all wheel drive SUV or mini van or a truck, I would use caution driving into this place. I was surprised no one mentioned the lane to get down to this house in reviews. Maybe as a Central Ohio flatlander I'm not used to such driving. All in all, we had a great time at the cabin.

This is a really great rental property. Spotlessly clean and tidy with a spacious living area and fully stocked kitchen. The view of the Ohio river from the front porch is spectacular. It is surprising just how many barges travel up and down the river. Plenty to watch. And then there are the diesel locomotives at the back of the property. Never a dull moment.But at night-time the bed was comfortable and the surroundings very quiet.The verbal alarm on first entering the "Back Door" took us by surprise! I think for safety's sake there should be more rails at the top of the stairs.
