About this cabin rental
This Rustic Remote cabin was built in 1925 and is located in the Sequoia National Forest which is the home of various wild life such as deer, turkeys, bears and more. Exercise reasonable caution if you encounter wildlife. It is 10.7 miles (approx 23 minutes) from the Visitor Center in Grant Grove Village in Kings Canyon Nat'l Park and less than 20 miles (approx 30 minutes or less traveling on Generals Hwy through the park) to Sequoia Nat'l Park and Shermans Tree. Located off of main road No long dirt driveways to go down. Please be sure to park in your designated parking area. There will be a marker displaying Stansfield Cabin. This clean and cozy cabin sleeps 2. Window unit AIR CONDITIONER IN BEDROOM! Amenities include Wi-Fi, Smart TV, formal dining room, basic stocked kitchen, deck Apartment size refrigerator, Micro-wave and smaller size oven. Cabin has breakfast nook, living area and restroom. This cabin is surrounded by giant evergreen trees. If allergies are a problem, this cabin may not be for you. Cabin is Easy Self-Check In. Single night stays welcome as well as 2, 3, 4, & 5 night stays. In case of snow, snow shovels are provided for guest to use. NO smoking of any kind anywhere on this property in the cabin or outside. Terrific cabin, full of special touches. Close drive to Kings Canyon and Sequoia Nat'l Forest, with a fun mountain drive on the way.Super back deck with a big grill to use and views of the night sky!Helpful hosts, easy to contact, respond right away to questions.

This was a great place to stay if visiting Sequioa and Kings Canyon. We enjoyed the history of the cabin and sitting out on the deck in the evening.

My wife and I rented this lovely little cabin for 3 nights and would have loved to stay 3 more. The history is super cool and there are a bunch of items and memorabilia on the walls relating to the cabin making for a really unique experience. Don’t expect it to feel like a modern hotel room. It’s rustic and as original to its 100 year old roots as it can be. If you like the rustic though you’ll love this place. We saw a group of about 12 turkey waddle through the yard, spotted a deer walking through too, saw many beautiful birds and heard even more. Not to mention there is a restaurant right across the street. You really can’t beat this place.

Cabin looks good in the afternoon or night, during the day time you can see needs a some work and the bathroom shower seem to have mold had a plastic cover for the watwrshower
