About this cottage rental
You will not find another view like this on the "sunrise side" of the Thumb. Enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Huron from the comfort of the recently renovated cottage or while relaxing on the beach. Take in a view of Harbor Beach's lighthouse while watching freighters pass by. The 215 feet of private, sandy beach is a rare gem in the Harbor Beach area. As is common on the sunrise side of Michigan, rocks shift and move in the water each year, even varying at different times during the summer, so make sure to pack water shoes for swimming just in case they're needed for comfort. The cottage, beautifully renovated in 2016 and 2018, sleeps 15, and offers an eat-in kitchen with new granite countertop, cabinets, and appliances. The cottage, located on a quiet, private, wooded lane, is five miles from downtown Harbor Beach and only a bike ride away from Wagener Park which offers a playground and wooded trails. The drive from metro-Detroit takes only a few hours, so you can spend more time relaxing and less time in the car. While the cottage provides the perfect beachside retreat for a quiet getaway, it is not without modern conveniences. Wireless internet and cable are included, and there is a dishwasher, new oversized washing machine (2022), and new oversized dryer (2022). New patio furniture and bedroom furniture added in 2023. The Cottage is hooked up the city water that is safe for drinking.

It was a beautiful house, clean, and had everything we needed. We stayed with family, there were 11 of us total, 5 kids/6 adults. Had plenty of space. The only issue is the beach is not what the pics reflect. It’s not as clean as shown, it’s very weedy and rocky. The water is also all rock on the bottom, no sand, and there’s also a lot of seaweed/algae. I would bring water shoes as it’s very uncomfortable to walk in the lake otherwise. Other than that our family had a great time, and Jackie was a pleasure. She was very quick with her responses and made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend her property to anyone looking to rent a quiet, relaxing, clean home on Lake Huron.

The location on the water and views were amazing. Quiet area with all kinds of activities for the children and relaxation for the adults. Wonderful home. We all enjoyed our vacation.
