A rare find in the heart of Traverse City — a modern, beautifully finished home just steps from West Bay, with a rooftop deck, hot tub, and gas fire pit high above the neighborhood. Cross the street for a swim, walk two blocks to the best restaurants and breweries in town, or settle in on the rooftop and watch the boats drift across the bay. During Cherry Festival and the Fourth of July, you have the best seat in the city for fireworks & air shows. This is downtown TC at its finest.
"The Coolest House" occupies the second and third floors of a one-of-a-kind Passive House — an architecturally significant building with triple-pane windows, thick concrete floors, and exceptional insulation that keeps the home whisper-quiet and perfectly comfortable year-round. The space has been finished to a high standard throughout, with a gourmet kitchen, high-end fixtures, and thoughtful details at every turn.
The home sleeps up to six across two bedrooms and a loft. The primary bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom a queen, and the loft a queen sofa bed. Two full bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and a 75-inch flat-screen TV with Bluetooth soundbar round out the comforts. Beach chairs and towels are provided — because the bay is right across the street and you should be ready.
The rooftop deck is the crown jewel. Whether you're starting the morning with coffee and bay views or ending the evening around the fire pit with a glass of local wine, it's a space you'll never want to leave. If you’re thinking about booking here, do, you won’t regret it! This is the most well stocked VRBO I’ve ever stayed and all the little details were exceptional. Beach chairs, a cooler, all the spices and cooking essentials, foil and baggies - even lotion and Qtips in the bathrooms! As travelers who flew, it was such a great add not to have to purchase all these extras! Beds are so comfortable- even my 6’4” teenage son who slept on the sofa bed in the loft was comfy. The huge TV was great for family movie nights with comfortable seating for everyone. And the rooftop deck with incredible views - a perfect spot for happy hour. Bob and Becky also provided TONS of helpful tips and details and made sure we had everything we needed. Don’t hesitate, you won’t regret booking this incredible place!

We and the other couple we stayed with felt this was the nicest VRBO we have visited. Accommodations were clean and set up for a relaxing visit. Many amenities and great location. Enjoyed the hot tub, the views over the bay, beautiful decorations, and. Relaxing with morning coffee. Great communications from Bob and Becky, and lots of ideas on what to do in the area. Would absolutely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great location and very well stocked. Nice floor plan for two couples. Easy to walk to downtown for restaurants and shops. Bob was very responsive and attentive. Would definitely stay again.
