I spent three nights in the Arcanum at The Emerald by Prague Days, and I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The space was eclectic, a little mysterious, and had so much personality.
When I was booking the trip, I was initially drawn to the name Arcanum; secret, mysterious, or hidden. Given Prague's fascinating history of alchemy, mysticism, and the pursuit of hidden knowledge, it felt like a fitting little homage to the city. This increased my excitement about my whole trip before I even stepped into the city.
When I arrived in Prague, I noticed the surrounding neighborhood. It was clean, quiet, and next to a contemporary looking Czech restaurant. It was a very nice, atmosphere. I liked the unique person-less access. The old keys, the creaky wooden doors, floors, and windows. All those little details made it feel more personal than your typical hotel room. The decor, paired with the characteristic imperfections, is fitting. They made the place feel as though it had a few stories of its own to tell. The room itself had an almost cinematic, old-world charm, with its moody décor and vintage, Orient Express-inspired atmosphere.
Overall, It was also a fantastic home base for everything I wanted to see and do throughout Prague. The kitchenette was a nice convenience, and the huge shower was definitely a highlight. There wasn't much of a view, but considering how much time I spent exploring the city, that hardly mattered. I loved the character of the place. It's quirks made it precisely why it is memorable. I'd happily stay at The Emerald again and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere a little unconventional during a short visit to Prague.
A little history, a little mystery, and plenty of personality. Exactly the kind of place I appreciate. 🖤
Not much of a view, but who needs it from the home base when you have all of Prague to explore.

Fantastic location, very clean and it smelt amazing, great communication.
Nothing but if looking to enhance a microwave and Tv would be nice addition.

The location was amazing. The room was decorated beautifully and it was super clean. I felt like it was easily a star facility.

Lovely place for a city break! Great location, close to everything but still very quiet. The communication with the staff was great and efficient. I enjoyed my visit to Prague a lot.
The apartment felt quite dark to my taste. There were a lot of stairs to climb even though there is an elevator.
