Das Haus ist eine wohltuende Alternative zu den sonst oft gesichtslosen Mietwohnungen oder Miethäuser auf den einschlägigen Buchungsplattformen. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gleichzeitig sehr funktional (z. B. Haken und Ablagen dort, wo man sie benötigt). Man sieht sofort, dass die Vermieterin außerhalb der Saison das Haus auch selbst bewohnt. Die Terrasse konnten wir Anfang Oktober auch noch sehr gut nutzen. Gegen die Stechmücken gab es ein praktisches Fliegengitter für das Wohnzimmer. Das Bad ist modern und frisch renoviert. Alles ist sauber. Es macht Spaß, sich im Haus aufzuhalten.
Die Gastgeberin Barbara kommuniziert zu jeder Zeit hervorragend. Der Empfang vor Ort war herzlich und interessiert.
Einen Parkplatz für das Auto in der Nähe des Hauses zu finden war Anfang Oktober kein Problem, trotzdem es recht enge Straßen sind. Das Parken ist kostenlos.
Wir waren zu Fuß in die Stadt unterwegs, das dauert zirka 20-25 Minuten, der Weg ist recht angenehm. Wir hätten auch die Fahrräder vor Ort nutzen können.

We stayed at Le Bayanas for 4 nights. We weren't sure of our definite arrival time as we were travelling from Arromanches. I messaged Barbara when we arrived, slightly earlier than estimated. She arrived at the house within a few minutes. She gave us a warm welcome and showed us around her home, explaining how everything worked. She had also very kindly provided fresh milk, bottled water, butter, fresh bread, marmalade and two cans of lager. She told me to phone her if we needed anything during our stay. Her home was delightful! The beds were really comfortable and the property had a lovely sunny, airy feel. The decking and garden were an added bonus. Barbara also said we could use the bicycles at the property if we wanted. We were able to park our car in the street infront of the house. The town centre was only a pleasant 10 minute walk from the property.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Très bon contact avec Barbara. Dès notre arrivée nous nous sommes sentis très bien dans cette petite maison très calme, bien décorée, très pratique et entourée de verdure. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié de pouvoir tout faire à vélo et de se rendre en quelques coups de pédales au centre ville de La Rochelle en utilisant que des pistes cyclables.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Barbara nous a réservé un accueil très chaleureux. C’est une personne extrêmement sympathique, souriante, disponible et toujours à l’écoute.
Le logement est légèrement excentré du centre de La Rochelle, ce qui correspondait parfaitement à ce que nous recherchions : un endroit calme et reposant. Il est très bien aménagé, parfaitement équipé et rien ne manque, aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur.
La terrasse est particulièrement agréable et le jardin est un véritable atout pour profiter des beaux jours. Mes enfants ont adoré la visite quotidienne des petits chats du quartier, ainsi que de la tortue, qui a fait leur plus grand bonheur !
Les vélos mis à disposition sont également très appréciables pour découvrir les environs.
En résumé, rien à redire : tout était parfait. Nous recommandons ce logement sans la moindre hésitation et y reviendrions avec grand plaisir.
S’il faut vraiment trouver un point négatif… et il faut vraiment le chercher ! 😄 Je dirais que si vous rentrez très tard le soir, il faudra parfois vous armer d’un peu de patience pour trouver une place de stationnement. En journée, en revanche, nous n’avons jamais eu le moindre problème pour nous garer. Et en pleine été (haute saison), c’est finalement tout à fait compréhensible.
