An exceptional villa — we’ll absolutely be back
We’ve stayed in a lot of villas over the years, but this one genuinely stands apart. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a rental — it was a home that had been thought about properly.
Our host’s welcome set the tone immediately. Brilliant local restaurant recommendations, always on hand throughout our stay, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Communication was seamless from start to finish. They even arranged a visit to Maleme airfield for us, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the whole trip — the kind of personal touch you simply don’t get from most places.
The pool was a huge hit with our two boys. Heated to a perfect temperature and — somehow — impeccably clean throughout, despite being surrounded by grass and trees. We genuinely couldn’t work out how it stayed so pristine.
Inside, everything you need is there and done well. Comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a load of small details that quietly make a real difference: eggs, salad, cheese and a loaf of bread waiting in the fridge when we arrived; dishwasher and washing machine pods already stocked; coffee pods for the machine. These things sound minor but they matter enormously when you’re settling in after a long journey.
We’ve stayed in plenty of villas that call themselves five-star. This one actually is. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
The cupboard door under the kitchen sink was not the easiest to open.., (that’s literally where we have to get to to find something we didn’t like)! It was amazing.

The Property was excellent, My family and I stayed 10 days here. Efithis and Valia were most gracious and friendly hosts and very accommodating. We arrived very late at night and were still met at the house. The house itself is wonderful with a great pool. Its quiet but within a few minutes of buses , supermarkets, restaurants and even a bar. The bus service into Chania was very convenient if needed but Genari is quite a relaxing place if you want to avoid the crowds. I would highly recommend the house and the hosts and we had a fabulous holiday and would not hesitate to return.

Bassenget var skittent når vi kom, mye mark og skitt i basseng. Plenen og hagen var overgrodd.
Svært uttalt problem med maur både ute og inne, lå store oppsamlinger av døde maur inne i huset da vi kom. Vi støvsugde daglig og sprayet, men dagen etter var det like ille. Huset var greit men omgivelsene ute virket snuskete og slitt. Maurproblemet bør de gjøre noe med!
