Lovely location, amazing staff & overall a very lovely establishment

Few marks on the walls which could have been wiped down, broken toilet paper holder.

The hotel is situated in a delightful village a few miles from Carlisle and having good parking to the rear for guests. I received a pleasant welcome from the young lady at reception who showed me to my room. A very enjoyable evening meal washed down with a pint of Hawkstone beer. My room was clean and comfortable and I had a relatively good night's rest after a long ride from south Wales. A very good breakfast set me up for my onward journey to Scotland. I would stay here again if I am next in the area.
