Great location, right behind clock tower and next to step well, but away from the hustle of the main areas. Well designed haveli and comfortable stay overall. Steps were too steep, but that was not a surprise as it was mentioned in multiple reviews.
Less lighting inside, but nothing to complain about

It’s a characterful individual building in a good position, with a charming garden area and wonderful views from the rooftop restaurant. I had a very comfortable quiet room. It’s very near the fort, the shops, the market and the step well. It’s full of character. Most importantly the people there are friendly, enthusiastic and keen to help.
Unfortunately the coffee machine was temporarily out of action.

The overall vibe, support staff, the food. Everything is top class.

The staff were nice, except the old guy (assuming the owner). Location is good. They upgraded our room after a problem with the first one.
Many issues here. Most important is that the staff said they would arrange a ride to the train station at 3am and someone would be available to check me out at this time, this was not done. Luckily train was delayed so we didn’t miss it, but I was left scrambling at 3am to arrange a ride. The wifi was essentially non-existent, did not work at all for the first night and was very poor afterwards. The old guy (owner) chewed me out for ordering my own food from the outside, saying I need to eat at their restaurant. I didn’t appreciate being told what to do like this, as this policy was not listed on Booking prior to arrival. Restaurant only serves vegetarian food. Shouldn’t be an issue to eat my own food in the room. The room had an ant problem. The bed had broken springs that stuck out and stabbed me in the leg. AC in the first room didn’t work, but as noted we were upgraded afterwards, and the AC in the second room worked okay. Many power cuts at the hotel as well.
