Staying inside the Tortuguero park is magical. The rooms were very comfortable and the bath perfect, which was surprising given that we are in the middle of the forest.
Unfortunately it rained a lot during our stay, but we still had enough dry time to see the turtles and a lot of wildlife.
Given the price, the buffet could be a bit better, but it was still very good

The location is beautiful, the transfer was organised and well run. The guide on the bus was interesting and engaging. The breakfast and lunch stops on the way were good quality local food. The trips into the national park were amazing, we saw so many animals including a sloth swimming across the river. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable, the fan was a bit loud. The gardens in the resort were stunning with parrots, toucans and frogs, and there was a lovely pool for the kids to cool down in! Take bug spray +++++
Our guide didn't like that we skipped the trip to the local village (we'd already spend sometime in villages) and we hoped for a short nature walk. He got a bit upset with us when we didn't understand this wasn't an option (the confusion arrived because this was given as an option on an info sheet in the room). It really wasn't a problem.
