Great location, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach and tucked just off the main road, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
The owner was amazing and gave me loads of helpful travel tips. They also have the cutest cats, and the kittens were absolutely tiny!
The room was basic but had everything I needed, including air conditioning, a mini fridge, kettle, hairdryer and straighteners. There was a plug socket near the bed, although the extension leads plugged into each other across the room were a bit of a workaround! One thing to note is that there are no individual bedside lights, just the main room light.
For half of my stay, I was the only guest, so I had the whole room to myself, which was a lovely bonus.
The bathroom is a wet room with the toilet and shower together, but the sink is conveniently located in the bedroom itself.
Free drinking water, tea and coffee were also provided, and there was loads of outdoor space to hang clothes up to dry, which was especially useful after a day at the beach!
Overall, a lovely, well-located place with a really welcoming owner and some very cute feline residents.

Low cost. Close to beach, shops and facilities. Friendly owner and staff. Close to airport and ferry port.
I think we made the mistake of going too far down market. I am sure this would be fine for backpackers looking for somewhere they could live cheaply but for us it was too poorly fitted out and maintained. Bathroom was particularly poorly fitted out and maintained. Our room clearly doubled as a hostel room when the demand required it and the wear and tear on the room this resulted in was all too obvious. The amplified prayers from the mosque are quite intrusive but to be fair we were warned and earplugs were provided.
