Monmouth house is a beautiful building, and The Priesthole apartment was cosy, clean and the perfect base for exploring Lyme Regis.
The welcome wine, biscuits and granola were a lovely touch and very tasty.
The shower was fantastic, and much appreciated after a chilly wet day fossil-hunting! We unloaded the car, picked up the parking pass and dropped the car off at the carpark, which is a few minutes walk away. No worrying about where to park.
The information that Leesa and Gary sent prior to arrival was fantastic! Lots of places to eat, drink and visit. Thank you both!
Kobi the dog, had a lovely time, and settled in easily, in the cosy space. The little park across the road, was perfect for him to sniff around, to do his 'business'.
There's an amazing bakery/café nearby, where you can pre-order online. They also see amazing chocolate and hot chocolate and have a lovely undercover, outside eating area and the food is fantastic. We'll definitely be going back there! The fish and chip shop was a few steps away and perfect at the end of the day.
There are also a few really gorgeous shops nearby, which we will definitely be going back to, as well!
My son and I love Lyme Regis and have found our new favourite place to stay! I've already told friends and family how much we enjoyed it.
If all of the apartments are as comfortable and well-appointed as The Priesthole, I would recommend them to anyone.
We didn't take any photos of the apartment, which I regret. Next time!
I was relegated to the sofabed, as my son is 6ft tall! It was ok, but very soft, so not the most comfortable if you have back issues.
Other than that, I can't think of anything that we didn't like. I'll definitely be going back, and may see what the other apartments are like!

We loved the historic building and the charming decorations. It was a very comfortable stay and we felt right at home. The location was also great! Just a short walk to the seafront, restaurants and shops. The host also welcomed us with a bottle of wine and some treats!
One of the bedrooms is very small and the bed took up pretty much the entire space. That wasn’t an issue for us since it was a short stay, but mentioning it here in case others might be concerned.

Beautiful property ideal situation in Lyme. Close to the beach and facilities. Apartment spacious well kitted out with lovely view of small garden from the front windows.
Think the owner had been having problems with the housekeeper as not as clean in places as it could have been. Some bits looking a bit tired but then it was the end of the holiday season. Didn’t spoil my stay

The location and style of the flat
I think the flat is too small to host 3 people comfortably, as one will sleep next to the fridge, but fortunately, we were just two. The problem is really the bedroom, which felt damp and cold with hardly a view on a mini courtyard which felt claustrophobic; we were staying in Lyme Regis during a heatwave in August but it felt so damp and cold, we've slept with the duvet on! The pillow and mattress felt old. The smell of damp inside one wardrobe is really bad. We didn't sleep well.
