Lovely host and beautiful view.

Very nice host, comfortable room, really warm at night with a beautiful view.

I imagine the price is good in season, but since it was out of season, it could be a bit cheaper. I also didn't receive what I ordered for breakfast, but was still good enough.

Do not recommend

The location itself, cause Straja is located near the mountain top and the view and fresh air are amazing.

The pictures used to describe this property are really filtered and they did not meet my expectations. If you're getting a room facing the mountain, there isn't much to see on the balcony, but that wasn't really a problem for us. The dirt was a big issue at this stay: toilet cover was dirty(supposing it once been a white toilet cover, it was now yellow and you could see the stains and dirt being integrated within the plastic), we found about 3 dead flies in the room(which wouldn't be necessarily bad that they tried to do something regarding the insects but in my opinion it is not cool to leave them there for the guests), hair string in the shower and the list could go on. Another issue for us was the shower which was leaking badly and the water leaked through the bathroom floor and reached the wooden floor in the room. We had to clean it up ourselves cause it was pretty late in the night. There is no refrigerator in the room and i think this goes hand in hand with their rules of not eating in the room, but i would have preferred to have a mini-fridge to have some cold water or beverage. When we arrived, we were announced that the restaurat was pretty booked and we would have to wait 2-3 hours until we can get some food. We waited that long and when we eventually came down to have something to eat, we were asked to wait some more cause "there are other customers to be server as well", which i could understand, but more than 80% of the present customers(the restaurat was not full, there were like 5 tables taken out of 10-12) weren't even staying at the villa... Needless to say, we went to eat in the town of Lupeni(which is located at 6-7 km away from Straja). We've only chosen to stay at this location as a last minute option and only for a night, but i kinda regret that decision. We won't be returning to this location ever. Hopefully, they will do something to increase the quality of the stay for future guests.
