About this villa rental
Our beautiful Cretan House set in the beautiful countryside of Mavrikiano overlooking the breathtaking views of the Mirabello Bay would be a perfect choice of holiday for our guests. Villa Bougainvillea is set in its own private grounds and is equipped with everything to make our guests happy and offer hassle free holidays. From Villa Bougainvillea is a 400 metre walk to the local shops, taverna’s, blue flag beaches and sea in the local village of Elounda. Beyond Elounda is the unspoilt fishing village of Plaka from where you can take a boat trip to the island of Spinalonga used as a leper colony up to 1957. Also on your doorstep is the lively harbour of Agios Nikolaos which boasts both excellent restaurants, tavernas along with sophisticated shops and waterside cafés. We can arrange luxury taxi transfers to and from the airport along with flexible car hire at competitive rates.

Perfect stay in Elounda!The villa was as described, it was spacious, clean and with the most perfect view. Kitchen was well stocked, everythintlg you need for self catering, bbq provided.Pool was great, it was cleaned regularly early morning. Location was perfect, quiet and so peaceful just what we wanted. Close enough to walk into Elounda center, plenty of gorgeous restaurants. The villa is located uphill. So be prepared if walking, we managed just with a couple of breaks (nighttime was easier. Less hot!) Regardless we couldn't have asked for better. Communication with Adrian was great, he recommended a lovely family run taxi service. Elounda is such a lovely place, we were incredibly sad to leave this beautiful villa and place. We cant thank Adrian enough for allowing us to holiday here, their place is truly perfect. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back! X

Great property in a nice quiet elevated position with lovely sea views. Very fast and effective resolution of a small plumbing issue by the local host, who was responsive and easy to communicate with. The villa was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It’s about 800m from the main village of Elounda, with a fairly steep hill on the return—something to bear in mind—but it adds to the peaceful setting and views. Would happily recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bouganvilliea! The property is spacious, beautifully maintained, and feels even better than the pictures. The private pool was the highlight of our trip — crystal clear, well-kept, and perfect for both relaxing afternoons and evening swims.The villa itself was spotless, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor area offered plenty of space for lounging, dining, and enjoying the sunshine in complete privacy. The views from the terrace looking over the sea are amazing. Location-wise, it was ideal (although up a steep hill which can be challenging!) — peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to local shops, restaurants, and attractions. The hosts were warm, attentive, and always available for any questions, which made our experience even smoother.We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would highly recommend Bouganvilliea to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with the luxury of a private pool. We’re already looking forward to coming back!Bouganvilliea hints n tips- Several small supermarkets in town. Prices all much the same. Euro Mart will deliver if you spend 10. You select & pay for what you want at the store, they keep it until you are back at the villa then just WhatsApp them to get it delivered.- Nearby tavernas BeeRaki, The Hope, Despina & Palio Kantouni all pretty good - In town we liked Vritomartes, Olondi, Poulis, Rakomelo and Ergopasio restaurants.

Perfect location with perhaps the best view in Elounda! The house had everything you could need and was immaculate. We all loved the pool and can’t wait to visit again!
