About this apartment rental
2 self contained bedrooms with one bathroom and own private garden in a beautiful old mill in the Forest of Dean, hidden away in its own valley surrounded by trees and bordered by its own stream. The mill has been lovingly restored and has lots of beams and character. Free wifi for guests. Sleeps up to 4. The first bedroom has a double bed. Bedroom 2 can be arranged as 2 single beds/one single bed or a double bed. There is a a kettle, microwave, and a small fridge for guests to use. Please note there is no separate kitchen area but we do provide a table and chairs for guests . Come and watch our rare bats at dusk and enjoy the peace and quiet of this stunning area. There is a separate entrance and own parking space. Beautiful secluded private garden for guests to listen to the birds, eat al fresco and look at the lovely views. Dogs welcome. There is the possibility of bringing your own horse for an additional charge. This is a perfect base for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Bristol, Cardiff or the Welsh coast as well as many of the other local tourist attractions - the Forest of Dean Steam railway, sculpture trail, castles, Tintern Abbey, Go Ape, Puzzlewood, caves, butterfly zoo, maze, canoeing, diving, zip wire etc..The local pub which serves food is within walking distance and the supermarket is only 5 minutes away by car. The only thing I didn’t like about our stay is that I couldn’t stay longer. This is a truly special place. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. The bath was very large and had amazing water pressure. The beds were comfortable and there were televisions in each room. The location was perfect. It was quite with wild life around to view from the windows or beautiful garden. There were so many special little touches provided. There were chairs and even blankets to keep warm with in the garden. Several brochures about the local area, a kettle with cups and saucers, games, movies, books, and so much more were all there for our personal use as well. The owner was kind and answered any questions we had. If I ever come to the area again, I would definitely come back and stay longer!
