About this cottage rental
Rhiwlas is a charming self catering cottage, positioned on the banks of the River Colwyn, in the heart of the picturesque village of Beddgelert in beautiful Snowdonia. It's riverside location allows you to relax on the private patio and enjoy the views over the river towards Moel Hebog. The location of the cottage makes it ideal for you to explore the area, including the mountains, coast, beaches, forest and castles. It is not far from many of the routes up Snowdon. You can walk, bike ride, horse ride, climb, canoe, sail, play golf, fish or just relax. The historic harbour towns of Caernarfon and Porthmadog are close by and are linked by the Welsh Highland Steam Railway which stops at a station in the village, you can take ride through the dramatic scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, with children traveling free. The village of Beddgelert has a number of pubs - some of them dog friendly - cafes, tea rooms and shops offering local crafts and produce. It also has an award winning Ice Cream Parlour with attached pizza place where you bring your own wine no corkage charged. Most of the pubs serve food and at the height of the season the cafes/bistro serve breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Amongst the other amenities are a post office and well stocked general store.

Lynn was great to communicate with and provided helpful responses. The cottage was exceptionally clean and extremely quiet, especially after the day visitors to Beddgelert headed out. Overnight we experienced a wonderful quiet in which the loudest sound was a bird calling. The cottage’s kitchen was very well equipped and kindly stocked with milk and some snacks, vinegar and oil. The washer and dishwasher and the oven and range, all appliances, worked wonderfully. There was a very good expandable clothes drying rack, we were not able to find the clothes dryer. Wifi was strong, lots of good tv options if needed, and the main bed was very comfortable. The location cannot be beat. The terrace directly accessed via the kitchen looks out on the delightful small river with its clear water and the large trees and field beyond. A short and easy walk into town and all of the shops, pubs, and the visitor center. Parking was mostly easy to find on the street, especially outside of the peak day visitor times, and there is a nearby car park, though we never needed to use it. Overall a wonderful place, highly recommended.

A lovely cottage near to restaurants and shops. The creek behind was amazing.easy to park the car. The cottage was well equipt in the kitchen. If we go to wales again we will sure stay there again.
