The ambience was amazing the size of the rooms generous, service impeccable. Ali was so very helpful to us with his directions, booking dinner and generally a friendly greeting and noting was too much trouble.
Just a little difficult to get to with the road closures but we got there.

Wonderful property in a semi-private area north of Amboise. You definitely get the feeling of living in a castle; while they offer a nice breakfast, be prepared to head out for dinner (or to the local SuperMarche, which is close).
We loved our large, historic room with modern amenities and floor to ceiling windows which made for a great view / sleeping. A special treat for me was exploring this very unique property, including the pool which we had mostly to ourselves.
I don’t have any complaints but the parking area is limited. We recommend traveling there in a medium-size car for flexibility when entering late at night or early in the morning.

The grounds were lovely; glorious deciduous trees , swimming pool (not in operation in October), woodlands, a creek, hammocks and sitting areas scattered throughout. The chateau could be grand, and probably once was. The view from my room was pure serenity.
It was tired. The whole place needed a good clean, the room smelled musty, the king bed was uncomfortable as two singles had been pushed together and held with a sheet. The towels were almost threadbare and the carpet needed to be replaced. Breakfast was ample but definitely not gourmet. The location is great if you have a car but it is situated well out of town so you need to eat out every night.
