This is a solid budget hotel pick near Iwakuni station. The facilities are good and include a public bath (artifical onsen). The room was good enough, with a large bed, good bathroom and enough space. The breakfast spread was not very large but quite adequate. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby which is quite convenient for dinner or drinks .
Worth keeping in mind that the location is somewhat far off from the key sightseeing spots - Kintai bridge and Iwakuni Castle. However, that is not the Hotel's fault and most budget accomodation seems to be clustered around the station. Make sure you take any of the buses (no 11 and 21 are frequent) towards Kintaikyo, and you won't have any issues.

Not quite as western as we would have enjoyed. I think many of our team went to the Lawson mini-mart just down one block.
Beds were a little on the harder side, but that's my personal opinion. They were big enough.
