The apartment is in the Akrotiri village, off the beaten track of mass tourism, a little gem of the south Santorini. It is very close to the old castle and to nice greek restaurants and market, yet remains in a quiet road, where locals live, thus very authentic. The apartment is lovely, it has everything, it is cozy and amazingly decorated. The hot tub on the terrace with view on the sea is a total delight. The bathroom is also unique...
There is the Nespresso machine with capsules available. The breakfast is served at the apartment every morning. There is also the daily cleaning service.
Katia, the owner who received us the first day, is very nice and always available with recommendations and support.
You do not need to go to the mass-touristic Oia, to see the blue churches domes: all the little villages, including Akrotiri, have such distinctive architecture.
Being a "cave" style of apartment, it is a bit dark, but it's part of the charm I guess. In the breakfast, next to the fresh juice , toasts and yogurth, there are commercial pastries and jams, that are a bit average. Something home made would be better, but this is really minor.
We always found parking for the (small) car, but in the more touristic season it may be difficult to find a spot close to the apartment.

Upon arrival, the staff was very welcoming, and throughout my stay, the host was always available and ready to answer any questions. The room was lovely and charming. A major plus is the breakfast served in your room.

Beautiful and luxurious. Breakfasts were amazing. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment with sea view. This came with a small pool which was amazing and a godsend to have a quick dip to cool down. We liked the peaceful location of Akrotiri, which was a nice contrast from the busy locations of Oia and Fira. It felt authentic Greek compared to those locations. This accommodation is highly recommended.

Very unique set up and the caretaker, Katerina was very responsive and helpful. The best breakfast you will get from.
The street parking was a challenge.
