We received a warm welcome from the staff member who took the time to show us around and explain all the hotel’s facilities. Our room was very clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom, which was well equipped with all the necessary toiletries. The location is perfect, with the famous Cliff Path just across the road. The town centre and its many restaurants are also within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of options. We could also order additional dishes from the menu at no extra charge, which was a lovely bonus.
Overall, One Marine Drive is an excellent choice for a stay in Hermanus. We would definitely recommend it.

The room was ok, with relatively basic amenities, with a nice size for 2. The bed was nice but not super comfortable, though the linen were very clean and fresh. The towels and bathrobes are great though. The view was not great (street side, no sea view). The breakfast was decent but not exceptional. I have seen much better in other hotels in SA and even in Hermanus. They claim they have 2 pools but this is s joke. They are tiny, and can barely fit 4 adults (so don't even think that you can do any laps in them). The staff is very nice.
They lodge owners claim they have 2 pools but they are a joke. The pools are tiny, and can barely fit 4 adults (so don't even think that you can do any laps in them). The hotel is not close enough to have a nice ocean view (even from the breakfast area), and many rooms are street / "garden" side (though there is no garden.

Tired decor. Oversold and overpriced.
