A perfect stay in the heart of Roseau!
We had a wonderful stay at St James Guesthouse in Roseau. It is a family-run property managed with a lot of heart, the manager is incredibly caring and attentive to her guests.
The location is ideal: the apartments are set back from the hustle and bustle, very quiet, yet just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Roseau. You can do everything on foot.
The apartment is very comfortable, clean, air-conditioned, with sheets and towels provided and changed every 2 days. Every morning a breakfast is prepared for us with fresh juice and fresh fruits, perfect to start the day well before heading out on an excursion.
It is also the perfect place for the Dominica festival, only 10 minutes walk from the venue.
We felt safe from beginning to end and really enjoyed our stay. We recommend this Guesthouse 100% for discovering Dominica in excellent conditions!

I really enjoyed my four-night stay at St James Guesthouse!
I had originally planned to walk from the ferry terminal, but a friendly taxi driver from the guesthouse spotted me, asked where I was heading, and kindly offered to drop me off for free while he waited for other customers. Such a lovely first impression!
I arrived well before check-in time, but the reception staff checked availability and kindly arranged an early check-in, which I really appreciated.
Throughout my stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always asking how my stay was going and what I'd been up to during the day. It really made the place feel warm and personal.
Breakfast each morning was really good, with fresh fruit, bread, coffee and juice.
Overall, fantastic hospitality, great value for money and a wonderful experience. Thanks for a great stay!
The standard single room was quite basic, but this was exactly what I expected given the affordable price. Nothing that negatively affected my stay!
