We traveled to Tuscany first and then made our way to Sicily, and while Tuscany has its own undeniable charm, Sicily offered us something that felt so much more expansive and less stressful. Set in a surreal landscape, where dramatic mountains meet the deep blue of the ocean and the rugged, almost desert-like terrain stretches out around you. There is a wild, elemental beauty here that is difficult to put into words. You feel completely immersed in the natural world, and yet surrounded by a beauty so extraordinary that it almost doesn’t feel real.
And then there is the property itself. Every inch feels considered, soulful, and deeply connected to its surroundings. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous, each with its own character, texture, and little moments of magic. The air is filled with the perfume of lavender, warm earth, and wild herbs — a delicious, intoxicating scent that seems to become part of the experience itself.
The rooms are equally spectacular. Beautifully integrated into the landscape, they feel both luxurious and wonderfully grounded in their surroundings. Having your own private patio and garden makes the experience even more special, offering a little sanctuary to retreat to at any time of day. Our next visit we will book the only room on the second level, which doesn't have it's own garden, but has a great view of all the garden
But what truly makes Baglio Giammaccaro exceptional is Joseph and Stefano, the owners, who built this extraordinary place from scratch. They are funny, witty, insightful, and genuinely thoughtful in a way that feels completely effortless. They have created something far more meaningful than a beautiful property; they have created a place that reflects who they are and what they believe hospitality should be. Their warmth, generosity, attention to detail, and wonderful sense of humor are woven into every aspect of the experience. Nothing feels transactional or manufactured.
Nothing...well maybe a "happy hour" to hold us over until dinner which starts at 7, lol

Stefano & Joseph are amazing hosts who created a stunning place with beautiful details and really aim at making any stay worthwhile to remember. From incredible breakfast options (even at 5:30am if required) to Restaurant bookings or simply sightseeing recommendations, these two help you in any form possible. And the house and surroundings themselves are so breathtakingly beautiful - we love every bit!
This is the right place if you want to calm down in what could be called paradise in beautiful nowhere :)

Noch nie haben wir eine so persönliche und herzliche Betreuung in einer Unterkunft erlebt.
Stefano und Joseph haben einen Ort mit einer ganz tollen und passenden Atmosphäre kreiert, der sich wie eine eigene kleine Welt anfühlt. Der Garten ist ein absoluter Traum, den man unbedingt zum Entspannen nutzen sollte.
Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und frisch. Besser geht es eigentlich nicht.
Auch die Umgebung bietet einiges. Die Unterkunft ist sehr ländlich gelegen, mit gleich zwei Nationlaparks in der Nähe. Beide bieten tolle, gebirgige Perspektiven und versteckte, meist steinige, Bademöglichkeiten.
Wer etwas Kultur sucht, wird mit dem Auto ebenfalls ohne Probleme im Umkreis von 15 bis 50 Minuten Fahrtzeit fündig. Man kann sich ohne Weiteres auch länger vor Ort beschäftigen - wir waren eine Woche dort.
Wir danken Joseph und Stefano für die tolle Zeit und würden die Unterkunft jedem, jederzeit empfehlen.

The place is beautiful and the owners are kind and friendly, you can trurly feel as at home. You can see atention to detail everywhere and soul that was poured into this place. The hosts are kind, offer tips and places to visit.
There are bikes that you can use to travel around the nearest beach or village.
I wish we could stay longer, best wishes for you Stefano and Joseph from Oskar & Weronika!
It's not really a dislike but the place is a secluded which is both plus and a minus. We loved it!
